Poznań University of Economics and Business

UEP

The Poznań University of Economics and Business occupies an elegant main building right on Aleja Niepodległości, just a short walk from the city centre. It is one of the most centrally located universities in Poznań, which means you can combine student life with easy access to everything the city has to offer.

Stare Miasto and Łazarz are the two natural choices for UEP students. Living on Stare Miasto puts you in the middle of Poznań's historic core, with the Old Market Square, restaurants and cultural venues on your doorstep. Łazarz, just south of the centre, offers a slightly calmer pace, beautiful pre-war tenement architecture and a strong community of students and young professionals.

Where to live

UEP sits in the centre, which makes this one of the easier housing decisions in Poznań. Stare Miasto puts you within a walk of the building. Łazarz is a few minutes out by tram and less expensive for it. Jeżyce works if you want the walk to be pleasant rather than short.

Getting to campus

From both Stare Miasto and Łazarz the university is easy to reach on foot, by bike or by a short tram ride. The central location means you rarely need to think about commuting at all.

If you need the lease for a visa

You get a signed lease, in English, before you fly. If your visa application needs proof of accommodation, that is the document you can use — and you can have it weeks before you arrive. We are not visa advisers; check the requirements with your consulate.

When to look for a room

UEP draws a large international intake, and rooms near the centre are the first to go — they are wanted by students of four institutions at once, not just yours.

If your admission is confirmed in early summer, book then. By late August the choice near the centre thins out fast, and what is left is further away rather than cheaper.

Common questions

Can I walk to the UEP campus?

From Stare Miasto, usually yes. Times from every address are on the listing.

Is living in the centre worth the price?

If you value the walk and the evenings, yes. If you value space, look at Grunwald or Winogrady.

Can I sign before I arrive in Poland?

Yes, the whole process runs online, in English.

How much does a room in UEP cost?

Rooms we currently have published in UEP range from 899 zł–1399 zł per month (6 offers right now). On most room offers that is a single fixed amount with electricity, water and gas included; where bills are metered instead, the listing says so. The deposit and any one-time commission are stated separately on each listing.

Can I rent in UEP from abroad, before I arrive?

Yes. You reserve an offer online and sign the lease electronically while still in your home country. The reservation takes the offer off the market while the lease is being signed; its terms and refund rules are set out in the reservation terms. We handle enquiries in Polish and English.

How long can I rent for in UEP?

We rent long-term only, six months or longer — we do not do short stays. The minimum stay for a specific offer is stated on its page, together with the date it becomes available.
