Questions, answered clearly.

Everything students and newcomers usually ask before renting with us in Poznań. If your question is not here, just ask.

Finding and booking

How do I get started?

Find a place you like and send an enquiry. We get back to you, arrange a viewing, and walk you through every step.

Can I rent from abroad, before I arrive?

Yes, and it is what we do best. You can sign your lease online while you are still in another country, then move in remotely at any hour once you land. Your keys wait in a secure box, and the next day we come by to sort the formalities, like the meter readings.

Do I have to view the place in person?

No. Book a viewing online and see the place remotely, or come in person if you prefer. Whatever works for you, especially if you are still abroad.

Costs and contract

Who will my contract be with?

Directly with us, the company, not a private individual. A real lease you can hold to account, written to be read.

What is included, and how do bills work?

For a room, you pay one simple monthly price with bills included, the same all year, so there are no surprise utility costs. For a whole flat, the utilities go in your name and we handle the setup for you. The deposit and the full cost are set out clearly on each listing.

How long can I rent for?

We rent long term, from six months up. We are not set up for short stays, but if your case is a little different, talk to us and we will see what we can do.

Living with citymate

Can I rent a single room?

Yes, room by room as well as whole flats, all fully furnished and equipped. Shared flats are properly run, with clear house rules and a cleaning rota for the common areas, so you get your own space and a calm home, not chaos.

What happens if something breaks?

You report it, in your tenant panel or with a message, and we take care of it. There is a real team behind every home, and whenever you are not sure who to call about anything, you call us.

Do you speak English?

Yes. We work in Polish and English every day, so you can ask about anything in the language you are comfortable with.
