Adam Mickiewicz University is one of Poland's largest and most prestigious universities, with a presence spread across several distinct parts of Poznań. Its main humanities buildings sit in the very heart of the city near Stare Miasto, while the Ogrody campus on Szamarzewskiego is nestled in the lively Jeżyce neighbourhood, and the Morasko campus far to the north hosts the natural and exact sciences.
For most UAM students, Jeżyce and Stare Miasto strike the best balance between campus access and quality of life. Jeżyce in particular has become the favourite neighbourhood of Poznań's student crowd: independent cafés, bookshops, green squares and a genuinely local atmosphere make it easy to feel at home. Winogrady is a quieter, more residential option that works especially well if your faculty is out on Morasko.
