How to review your rental
Review the listing details and request a viewing if you want to see the space before deciding. Your lease is directly with a company you can check and hold to account, not a stranger. You read the full contract and see exactly who you are signing with before you pay anything. And you only get the keys, from a secure box, once the lease is signed. Contact options are available in Polish or English.
Where the listing photos come from
The photos in every listing are taken by our own team at the property. We do not publish photos supplied by the landlord. That matters when you are renting from another country: one of the commonest scam patterns is a listing built from images taken from somewhere else, so knowing who shot them is something you can actually check us on.
How to spot a rental scam
Most rental scams share the same warning signs: a price well below the market, a landlord who refuses a video call, pressure to pay a deposit by transfer before any contract, or photos that show up on several sites under different names. If someone rushes you or avoids straight questions about the property or their identity, slow down. A genuine landlord or company will never pressure you.
What we will never ask you to do
We will never ask you to send cash to a private person before there is a signed contract, to pay with gift cards or cryptocurrency, or to transfer a deposit to secure a flat you have not been shown. If a listing claiming to be citymate asks for any of this, it is not us. When in doubt, contact us directly at contact@citymate.pl.
