Although there is no campus directly in the district, Winogrady is one of the best-connected places in Poznań for students heading to UAM's large Morasko campus to the north. The PST fast tram line, which runs from the city centre through Winogrady, makes the commute feel far shorter than the distance on a map suggests.

The PST fast tram connects Winogrady directly to the city centre in a matter of minutes, without the stop-and-go of regular city trams. For the UAM Morasko campus you change to a bus towards the northern end of the line, making the overall journey comfortable and reliable.
An ordinary week in Winogrady
Winogrady is built around one thing that matters more than any description of the neighbourhood: the fast tram. It runs along the district and takes you north to the Morasko campus and south into the centre without a change, which is why so many science students end up here.
The rest is a well-organised residential district — blocks with lifts, shops at ground level, schools, a pool, plenty of green between the buildings. Flats are usually larger and warmer than in the old tenement districts, and they cost what a place outside the centre costs.
It is quiet in the evenings, which some people need and others cannot stand. There is not much nightlife here, and the people who live here mostly do not want any.
Who Winogrady is not for
If you study in the centre rather than at Morasko, the fast tram works against you — you would be commuting in the wrong direction past districts you could have lived in. And if you want the city at your door in the evening, this is not it.
